TrustHCS’ Cathy Brownfield Promoted to Chief Operating Officer

Promotion of Cathy Brownfield to COO

Springfield, MO, August 30, 2018 – TrustHCS is pleased to announce the promotion of Cathy Brownfield to Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Brownfield is a founder of TrustHCS and brings more that 20 years of experience to the executive team in the areas of coding operations, auditing, and education. Cathy holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from Arkansas Tech University.   Torrey Barnhouse, TrustHCS CEO stated, “As co-founder of TrustHCS, Cathy’s insight and operational wisdom enabled us to tackle critical transformational projects, confidently. Her technological and operational acumen equipped us to make these changes quickly and economically. Her promotion to Chief Operating Officer was well-deserved and strengthens TrustHCS’ ability to help our customers through their own transformational efforts.”

Prior to TrustHCS, Cathy served as the Operations Director for HealthPort (now CIOX). During her time at HealthPort, she worked diligently with the operations division, leading and mentoring the team’s staffing, scheduling, billing, and quality assurance efforts.  Cathy was instrumental in launching TrustHCS’ HCC Coding and Auditing service in 2018. She currently oversees both the Staffing and Advisory divisions of TrustHCS and leads a team of 20 directors and managers.
